  Christmas Service Project
Drawing of candy cane

Each year we have supported a project that we think is meaningful to our students.
This year we will be sending items to the 82nd Airborne (which consists of about 1700 troops) stationed in Ramadi, Iraq.

We are asking each family to send in one box of packaged candy canes (8 or 12 canes), and a non-breakable Christmas ornament.

It would be a great family project if you and your child could create one non-breakable ornament.  Popsicle sticks made into reindeer, and decorated pine cones are just two examples of crafted ornaments.  Other items that you could send are party hats and whistle blowers for New Year's Celebration.

The students will be making cards (Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa) in their classes to send to the troops.
