Thank you for your interest in Tate's School of Discovery. We hope our website has communicated our educational philosophy - putting children first - along with general information about our school. We encourage all interested parents to schedule a campus tour to experience the intangible differences that can't be easily captured in this site - our teacher's compassion, active and happy students, our warm, natural setting. Contact us by phone or email today to schedule your tour!

We hope that the following guidelines will make the admissions process easy for you.

  • Request and submit a completed application with a non-refundable $20 application fee. Applications are accepted at all times during the year.

  • Re-enrollment for current students and registration of their siblings is completed in February. New students are accepted in early March from the prioritized waiting list based on available openings. This list is compiled according to the date the application and the application fee are received.

  • You will be contacted by the school once an opening becomes available for your child. At his time the registration fee, school transcript, and teacher recommendation becomes due (transcript and recommendation applies to K-5). After the registration fee, school transcript and teacher recommendation have been received, you will be contacted by the school to arrange a time for screening.

  • All students undergo developmental screening for academic placement. The screening involves a total of a 90 minute interview with the parents and with the child.

  • At the end of the screening, the screening fee is due and you will be informed of your child's acceptance. If accepted, the contract is signed and the advanced May tuition is due.

  • You will also be required to provide an immunization record signed by a doctor or health provider prior to your child's attending classes.
