Get Involved

If you would enjoy working with us to locate alumni, participate in career day or other volunteer opportunities, please let us know! We have volunteer opportunities across campus and certainly for our events. An Alumni Council is also being formed to help plan events. Kathy Huddleston Thomas who attended in the early 80’s helps with our Science Fair, Volunteers in the Office and has become a substitute teacher. To learn about current volunteer opportunities, email Tracey (Tate) Van Hook. Sign Ups will be available online in mid-October.

Community Service and character education has long been an integral part of Tate’s School. To celebrate the caring culture of Tate’s for the past 50 years, we have developed a program called “ 50 ACTS OF SERVICE” which focuses on helping foster students and families in our surrounding area. We have partnered with the Department of Children’s Services for the past 9 years. The “ 50 ACTS OF SERVICE”  program will expand our support and impact even more foster students in need by generating donations of goods and services required immediately. We will also assist nearby social workers as they seek to remove barriers to education for at-risk youth and homeless students attending Cedar Bluff Elementary School, Cedar Bluff Middle School, and Ballcamp Elementary School. If you would like to join these efforts, please email us. We will be posting information very soon.
