Tate's 18th Annual Regional Science & Engineering Fair

April 8 - 9, 2018

Registration Deadline is March 26

Time is drawing close to the Tate's 18th Annual Science Fair. Schools from across the region are invited to participate.

Science is a driving force in our society. It is used to create and understand almost everything around us. But what is science? And how does it work? Participating in a science fair is a great way to experience science first-hand. It involves asking a question that is particularly interesting to you, figuring out how to collect evidence that will help you determine an answer, performing the research, and then sharing your exciting discoveries with others. Oh, and did we mention there will be prizes?

Participants will present their work to judges from the Oak Ridge Labratories, UT and other notable buisnesses and institutions. Our friendly judges will evaluate the level of the students' understanding, their application of scientific principles, and the quality of their visual and oral presentations.

Students in grades 3rd - 5th are eligible to participate.
