Challenging Curriculum

Students benefit from advanced content that goes beyond grade-level standards. Tate’s offers an accelerated curriculum coupled with outdoor learning. Studying ancient world civilization might include mummifying apples! Hands-on projects include harvesting apples from our fruit orchard, counting the seeds and graphing the results. Older students make applesauce. If we are teaching circumference, we will go outside and measure trees. Our children are challenged to find new solutions by thinking out of the box each day.
 
Individualized Learning

Teachers trained in differentiated instruction are our specialty. Our advanced curriculum focuses on critical thinking, problem solving, & project-based learning. Matching the student’s pace of learning and presentation using our unique campus environment prevents boredom and creates enthusiasm for learning. Although our curriculum is both challenging and fun, with much more time spent outdoors, we do have high expectations for academics and behavior. Each student is screened individually to make sure they can meet our high expectations, and that Tate’s School is the right fit for each family.

Teachers can be creative in their classrooms and are trained to recognize the potential of advanced students.
