Discover the Difference

When the school bell rings, the fun continues with Tate’s Afterschool Program. Participating in afterschool is more like attending summer camp than daycare. Whether it’s playing outdoor games and sports, making arts & crafts, signing up for a board game club, or going on a hike. You can rest assured that children are active and have multiple choices that promote continued learning and social development.

Our highly trained afterschool counselors are enthusiastic role models that provide plenty of supervision and guidance. Our staff doesn’t lead from the sidelines, they are fully engaged and generally on the field at the center of the action.

  • Children play, visit with friends, and study OUTSIDE most days
  • Never worry about late meetings or other unexpected delays
  • Enjoy peace of mind knowing your child is having a fun supervised afternoon
  • 90% of Afterschool staff are trained Tate’s Day Camp team members

1ST – 5TH GRADES (FARM)

Enthusiastic, well-trained staff members provide creative activities that may include outdoor games, making friendship bracelets, origami, or playing a massive game of dodgeball. The library is available each afternoon for Homework Hall.

“As a mother working full-time, I’m rarely able to pick up my children as soon as school lets out for the day. Thanks to Tate’s Afterschool Program, I never have to feel guilty or worry. The outstanding counselors always have fun activities planned, the children enjoy lots of time outdoors with their friends, and my child is typically able to complete all of his homework during the study hall time. In fact, my children have so much fun that they aren’t ready to leave when I arrive at the end of the day!”

6TH – 8TH GRADES (MIDDLE SCHOOL)

Students on Climbing WallMiddle School youth will have structured and unstructured time to choose from clubs, sports, and counselor-led activities. They will also have supervised times to visit with friends and relax after an academically challenging day.

We want students to develop and nurture meaningful peer relationships, benefit from mature, experienced, energetic, and exemplary staff leadership, and provide opportunities for Homework Hall, advanced activities, and just plain fun.

Chris Strevel

“In the Afterschool program, we like to focus our attention on providing a friendly, safe environment for our kids to not only have a great time and relax, but to also grow socially and form bonds with friends and staff members that last for years.

We take a lot of time and pride in providing creative, fun ways for our students to enjoy their time together.”
