OUR FUTURE

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3

Campus Updates! Rebuilding continues after the tornado hit campus this past fall. We have added new fencing to our Cedar Bluff Road Entrance and are in the process of rebuilding the pool pavilion that was destroyed during the storm. We would like to thank our graduate William Patterson for installing new Willow trees around our pond as a part of his Eagle Scout Project. More fruit trees will be added to the Orchard as well. A special thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped us open school just a mere 7 days after the tornado blew through campus! We are blessed with a wonderful Tate’s Community! #TigerStrong

Tate’s School’s history of excellence and commitment to providing a superior education in the early years is unparalleled. Tate’s will continue to broaden our offerings based upon the interests and growth of our Tate’s Community. Here are some highlights from the last nine (9) years:

  • Hosting our First Cross Country Meet
  • Celebrating Basketball Finalists with a Pep Rally
  • Introducing Elementary Basketball
  • Opening a New Band & Chorus Room in 2023-24
  • Raising Trout to replenish streams in the Great Smoky Mountains
  • Introducing Snow Skiing Club to our Middle School
  • Opening the Middle School for grades 6-8
  • Completing the 8,500 sf. Athletic & Dining Hall (a.k.a The Barn)
  • Introducing nutritious, chef-prepared meals on campus
  • Implementing a garden curriculum for all grade levels
  • Dedicating four (4) new classrooms including a signature building known as “The Treehouse” which features a screened outdoor classroom perched in the treetops
  • Offering Middle School Band as an elective
  • Expanding the junior varsity athletics program to include girls’ volleyball, flag football, cross country, tennis, golf, and the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams

LouL Tate, founder & CEO, has been very intentional about structuring Tate’s for the future. Our Executive Management Team has been instrumental in strategic planning and managing operational needs for the school for the past ten (10) years. We are also fortunate to have so many talented alumni and friends of Tate’s School helping to create new opportunities for growth through their generous donations. Additionally, LouL’s youngest daughter, Tracey (Tate) Van Hook, who currently serves in many roles on campus, is slated to direct the future of the school if LouL ever decides to retire.

Our future is bright, and we are blessed beyond measure. Join us!
