Outdoor Education

research-study

Here at Tate’s, we have always known that children benefit from time spent outside learning and playing. Taking our core curriculum outdoors into open-air classrooms or into the forest invites curiosity and motivates students to study and explore new concepts. Younger students develop stronger gross and fine motors skills while increasing their focus and attention span.

All students build self-confidence and develop more compassion for the natural world while learning outdoors. Being outside is not something we do one week a year or for 30 minutes during recess, outdoor education can be found across all subject areas. Developing a love of learning while experiencing nature is who we are.
