CERTIFIED ELEMENTARY TEACHER

We are seeking elementary educators for the 2026-27 school year that are highly skilled, effective, and cheerful, who care deeply about the education and well-being of the whole child. Individuals should have excellent classroom management skills and be experienced with the inquiry based, child-centered process. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching with an emphasis on differentiating instruction and using assessments effectively. Planning weekly units that are engaging and meaningful.
  • Working collaboratively with children in exploratory and STEAM project-based learning.
  • Creating an inclusive environment through regular class meetings, supportive exchanges with students, and clear expectations for community behavior.
  • Fostering independent and creative thinkers who develop a Growth Mindset to become fearless learners.
  • Teaching Preschool – 5th Grade advanced curriculum.
  • Utilizing outdoor learning spaces (teaching garden, pond, orchard, forest) in lessons regularly. Utilizing technology in the classroom in meaningful ways that positively impact student achievement.
  • Working and communicating effectively with parents in formal and informal conferences, written reports, class newsletters, and school events.
  • Supporting and following the school policies.
  • Being a positive and contributing member of the professional community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, and teaching credential
  • At least three years of prior experience as a successful lead classroom teacher is preferred

TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

We are seeking a passionate Technology Teacher for the 2026-27 school year that are highly skilled, effective, and joyful. The Technology Teacher works alongside faculty, staff, and students to integrate meaningful technology into daily life at Tate’s School. They will plan, model, and encourage effective use of technology for students and peers. Applicant must be an experienced, self-motivated individual with proven teaching ability. Additionally, this teacher serves as a resource for integrating technology into the general education classroom. Tate’s School serves students in Pre-K3 through 8th grade; 5th through 8th are 1:1. Our classes are small and students are screened for admission.

Start Date: This candidate could (if timing works) serve as a short-term sub and work alongside our outgoing technology teacher and possibly return for the 2026-27 School year.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Educational Technology Degree preferred)

Relevant experience teaching technology in a school setting

The Technology Teacher will:

  • Create and teach high-quality, developmentally-appropriate, student-centered weekly technology lessons for students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.
  • Collaborate with other educators with the goal of delivering a meaningful STEAM education across a student’s educational experience at Tate’s School.
  • Develop training opportunities for teachers to learn best practices for implementing educational technology in their classrooms.
  • Work with school administrators to plan and implement school-wide technology initiatives.

DISHWASHER & CHEF SUPPORT POSITION

ChefAdvantage is seeking a Utility/Dishwasher for the dining hall of a beautiful day school in Knoxville, TN. This individual must be able to work well independently and complete task without constant supervision. The hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00AM- 3:00PM following the school calendar. Job responsibilities:
