The Technology Teacher works alongside faculty, staff, and students to integrate meaningful technology into daily life at Tate’s School. They will plan, model, and encourage effective use of technology for students and peers. Applicant must be an experienced, self-motivated individual with proven teaching ability. Additionally, this teacher serves as a resource for integrating technology into the general education classroom. Tate’s School serves students in Pre-K3 through 8th grade; 5th through 8th are 1:1. Our classes are small and students are screened for admission.

Start Date: This candidate could (if timing works) serve as a short-term sub and work alongside our outgoing technology teacher and possibly return for the 2026-27 School year.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Educational Technology Degree preferred)

Relevant experience teaching technology in a school setting

The Technology Teacher will:

  • Create and teach high-quality, developmentally-appropriate, student-centered weekly technology lessons for students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.
  • Collaborate with other educators with the goal of delivering a meaningful STEAM education across a student’s educational experience at Tate’s School.
  • Develop training opportunities for teachers to learn best practices for implementing educational technology in their classrooms.
  • Work with school administrators to plan and implement school-wide technology initiatives.
